Manufactured from chrome alloy, these dies are not suitable for precision, safety-critical, or high-accuracy threads.
The Unified National Coarse (UNC) thread form, introduced in 1948, standardizes thread profiles across the USA, Canada, and the UK.
The thread profile matches metric threads as outlined in the JIS B0206 standard, defined by major diameter and threads per inch (TPI).
Widely used in mass production of bolts, screws, and nuts, UNC threads provide excellent resistance to stripping when threading into lower tensile strength materials such as bronze, brass, aluminium, and plastics.
These dies are especially suited for applications requiring quick assembly or disassembly, or where corrosion and minor thread damage may occur.
