Our Story
Con and the boys in the original Richmond workshop
Where it all began.
Established in 1971, Sharp Edge began life as Con's Saw Service in Richmond, a family business run by Con and his wife Frosso. Their three boys grew up in the workshop, coming in after school to watch their father put an edge on circular saw blades by hand.
As the boys joined the business it moved to Church Street, Richmond, and in 1983 took the name Richmond Tool & Saw Sharpening.

Same family, bigger workshop.
In 2001 the business moved to its current home in Campbellfield, operating as Sharp Edge Aust, still owned and run by the same family more than fifty years on.
Today the workshop runs the latest CNC saw blade sharpening machines, tool & cutter grinders, surface grinders and specialised equipment, servicing the construction, industrial and domestic markets. No job is too hard.
